The idea is so preposterous as to be downright entertaining!
How in Heaven's name did Magnum ever chain himself to the notion that Robin Masters and Jonathan Higgins are one and the same? Higgins has never heard anything so absurd in his life. For a supposedly marvelous private investigator, Magnum certainly tends to read too much into the little clues he's concocted, that allegedly give the secret away.
There seems to be no way to disabuse the man of the concept. So Higgins hardly finds it worth his effort to try.
Besides, it is rather amusing, in an odd way.
