They had fought, again. Clint felt like a jerk. He had to push her away. She couldn’t love him. Too old for her. Too broken. The only thing he was good at was hitting things. Kate deserved better than him.
He had tried to fool himself into believing that he wasn’t in love with her, but apparently he wasn’t that much a fool. So he lied and told her that he could never see her that way.
She deserved so much more than he could ever be. He would never be good enough. Kate deserved to be happy. He didn’t.
