“We have to get out of here!” His companion hissed, more than a little distressed to be so near to so many empties.
“A moment.” He scooped a small pink and white frame, missing an arm, from the pile of corpses. “This little one still lives.”
“We haven't got the resources for another of your strays!”
“Is it better, then, for us to leave him out here to be eaten?”
The other mech remained silent.
“As I thought.” Broadblast cradled the mechkin close to his chest and turned back toward their shelter. The others would help revive him.
