“Watson, what exactly are you doing?” Sherlock Holmes asked.

Dr Watson sighed and looked up from where he was concentrating on three upturned egg cups.  “I thought I’d have another go at this trick.  It can’t be that difficult.  I put the peppermint under one egg cup and mixed them up and now I need to choose the right cup.  Except I can’t seem to find the peppermint at all.”

“Perhaps it’s magic,” Holmes said, with a smile.

“Holmes, don’t jest.  You know it isn’t.”

“True.  Or maybe, in this case, the Ferret’s eaten the peppermint.”

“Oh, for goodness sake!”

Oh, no! The case of the missing peppermint! I suppose you'd have to smell Ferret's breath.
