I'm sure it was deliberate. Your apartment looked neat as a pin, and nothing was missing. Not even a change of clothes. There was still plenty of energy on your phone, which you'd left behind; and your car had a full tank of gas.

Where did you go, anyway? Why? Were you trying to confuse everyone you knew? Or had you simply had enough? You must have had a reason, and a destination.
