[Challenge #218: Epistolary] Original Fiction: 'Penpal'
Title: 'Penpal'
Fandom: Original Fiction
Rating: G
For at least the ninetieth time since I'd picked up the pen, I scratched it through the words I'd written. Crumpling up the now marred paper, I threw it into the wastebasket with the rest.
Leaning back in my chair, I ran my hands over my face, before heaving a sigh. Once again, my thoughts had refused to be expressed plainly. I'd never been able to pin them down.
"Why am I even bothering," I asked myself in disgust. "Is it even worth all this?"
What the hell. I'd never really been the epistolary type.
Who needed a penpal, anyway?
