Once upon a time, there was a daring crook
Who at tattered old coats always took quite a look
He liked the scratchy, torn feel
And so the old jackets he would always steal
One January, though, it came to his heart
That the time had come for him to make a fresh start
So he gave stealing old coats a hell of a sack
And took each and everyone all the way back
But when he would try to give them to each store
The clerks complained that they were already wore


So he won't do that no more
