It'd just been a stupid dare.
His brother's dares were often a really bad idea, like the time he'd made Picky sneak into Giant Step and he was almost eaten by ants and mice. Pokey would just make his life hell even more if he didn't.
Still, he really didn't think he should be here. The meteorite's glow was so spooky - what if it was radioactive and he turned into an icky space mutant? - and then the cops were trying to cordon it off and they'd been acting weird lately.
And then he could hear this buzzing...
