“It’s good to go,” Lucas said, handing Adam a small black box.  “Tariq said he’d spliced the errant cable and inserted the core element into the something-or-other matrix and then reversed the flow.  I think.”

“So he shoved the thingy into the whatsit and it’s working again,” Adam replied.

“Basically, yes.  He also said that it took him over an hour to repair it and if you as much as touch it again he will personally defrag you so completely you will be unable to reboot.”

“Noted!”

“And then Ros said something similar but with more swear words.”

“Also noted!”
