“He wants a what?” Aemelia Vole’s eyebrows couldn’t have gone any further up her face.

“A reversible cloak,” Mouselet repeated.  “One side dark and mysterious for the evil count, the other side suave and sophisticated for the gallant hero.”

“Do you think he’ll settle for all black?”

“As long as we tell him it’s reversible, he’ll be happy.  And that way it won’t matter if he forgets which way round it needs to go.”

“At least that’s easily solved.  I presume it gets more complicated.”

“Well, yes.  For a start we need to make the Ferret look suave and sophisticated.”
