The rest of the diners had all thanked each other, which Myrthe supposed made sense, as Sakuna, their literal Goddess of the Harvest, was sitting there with them, cup of sake already drained, trying to talk with her mouth full.
"What d'you mean?" asked Sakuna.
"Both of us respect food, God, family," she explained, "But in different ways. I have been all over the world, you know. Mostly, people are like this - the same at heart."
