"I know," Rocbouquet said as she sat down for a very late breakfast with Noel. He hadn't said anything, and he didn't look like he was going to, but Rocbouquet figured she would save them both the time.
She would bathe and change and put herself to rights after she ate. And besides, she rather liked how she felt, how she looked...
Lord Wagnas was back with them, beautiful and perfect and hers. Or, perhaps, she was his again.
Ah, it did not matter. Rocbouquet had food, Noel's attention...
And the orange blush of butterfly scales marking her eternal contentment.
