“You’re an addict, Joe. It’s a compulsion.”
“What?”
“Elevator eyes.”
“Huh?”
Nile dragged her gaze up and down Joe.
“Ah, like when…”
“Nicky, you ready?” called Nile.
“Yes!
“Hayati!” exhaled Joe when Nicky appeared.
Joe’s eyes went slowly from the styled hair, to the tiny gold earrings, to the loose, crisp white shirt, to the, Joe made a turning motion and Nicky obliged, black leather trousers that hugged every curve, and back up to the eyes.
“Nile said I must look good for dancing,” explained Nicky.
“Clubbing,” corrected Nile.
“Nile, you are,” Joe sight, “a perfect enabler.”
“Guilty! Let’s go!”
