“What’s wrong with the Ferret?” Dr Watson asked.
“Cupid’s arrow had struck again,” Mouselet explained. “He was walking along pulling the petals out of a daisy, saying, ‘She loves me, she loves me not,’ and not looking where he was going, when he fell down the hole where Poley lives.”
“He banged his head,” Poley said. “So we had to get the Ocelot to bring him back.”
“He’ll be all right in a bit,” Mouselet said.
“Although someone’s going to have to tell him the weasel got tired of waiting and has gone off with someone else instead,” Poley added.
