“It must be lovely having such a loyal friend,” the woman said to Adam, referring to the large dog which was currently at his feet.

“He’s not loyal,” Adam replied.  “He goes to anyone who offers him a roast chicken leg.”

The woman laughed.  “I’m sure he still comes back to you.”

“Oh, he does.  Just like you will return to your true masters after pretending to be loyal to this country.”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

She went to reach into her handbag, but the dog snapped his jaws on it.

“Not a good idea,” Adam said.
