Notes: I'm working on a Marvel Noir Jessica Jones longfic set at the close of WWII and the start of the Cold War. This is a scene from that as-yet-to-be-written fic.
“What do you mean he’s headed to the states?” Jessica said sharply. “He’s Hydra. His rockets were used against London.”
Peggy shrugged. “It can’t be helped. We need von Braun for that technology.”
“He used Jewish prisoners as slave labor, Carter!” Jessica paced to the door and back.
Peggy drew herself up. “We both work for the US government and that requires us to put aside personal feelings, Agent.” She walked around the edge of her desk and sat. “You know that.”
“I guess I’m more loyal to justice than I thought,” Jessica replied. “And I thought you were too.”
