"April dearest, I have a question for you."
Brushing a strand of hair behind her left ear as she looks away from the ninjutsu book to look over at Shini.
"Yeah? What is it?"
She was trying to suppress a shiver as Karai gently nibbled - with blunt human teeth instead of snake fangs - a path up her neck. Frowning, Shini nods towards Casey fighting with Donnie.
"Why do you let them think they still have a chance with you?"
April shrugs. "I don't. Casey seems to think he does no matter what I tell him. Donnie, at least, understands why."
