The rumbling approach of a storm drags Zishu’s mind out of his meditation, mindful of his sleeping companions, he stands up, wraps a thin cream colored shawl around his shoulders, and moves to quietly slip out of the room to watch the nighttime tempest.
Settling his hip against a wooden banister, Zishu closes his eyes and listens to the rain gently hit the ground.
Behind him movement shifts the air with a whisper of soft lips against the back of his neck as a coat is wrapped around him, making Zishu smile softly, enjoying the warmth of his soulmate’s body.
