When Chilka touches his face, when he gazes into those glimmering blue eyes, the mist in his mind only deepens. No memories come to Ranmaru.
When he falls, when Chilka cups his chin and leans over him, whispering of wicked souls and the bubbling hate somewhere within him, no memories come to Ranmaru.
Still, he lets Chilka caress him, lets him direct that hate as if this were something familiar. No memories come to him, but a yearning he never knew he had. He gazes up at Chilka, and his body does what it remembers that his mind does not.
