“Very true. I told her it came to me in a dream.”
“Oh, that’s very clever.”
“She probably won’t heed me, regardless.”
“No. You think she will suffer?”
“I very much fear so, Dolly.”
Dolly sighed. “I wonder if that would work in other areas.”
“What do you mean?”
“Do you think old Harold would believe me if I said it came to me in a dream that he should prune the yews an extra three inches?”
