Signal mumbled the words, but he meant them. Pulse had really saved his synthetic bacon and as much as it stung to admit it, well, he had to admit it.
Nobuhiko was giving him a very pointed look but-
But he'd said it!
Signal sighed and folded his arms, not quite looking at Pulse.
"I heard him," Pulse said before Signal could speak. His tone was even and when Signal glanced his way, he was even smiling.
Next time! Next time he'd be the hero! Signal was sure of that!
Though maybe he had to stop getting into trouble first.
