“1908!” Lucas exclaimed.
“What?” Adam, sitting next to him on the sofa as they watched the television, was confused.
“1908 was when the use of SOS was first agreed as an international distress signal.”
“Your point being?”
“This is set within the Victorian era and Queen Victoria died in 1901. Therefore, even if the vessel was German, who started using SOS in 1905, it is not correct.”
“I’ll add that to the newspaper headline about the Wright Brothers. Maybe we should turn it into a drinking game. A drink for every anachronism.”
“We’d be drunk before we were halfway through!”
