“Sect Leader, what’s the plan?”
“I kill it.”
“Alone?”
Jiang Cheng huffed angrily, crossing his arms. The camp was a flurry of men tearing down tents, inventorying supplies, and packing gear. So slow.
“The demon was sighted heading directly for Yiling. Lotus Pier funds the orphanage there,” his head disciple pointed out.
“I know,” Jiang Cheng barked. “Give the order. I’m going on ahead.”
The head disciple bowed and vanished.
Jiang Cheng spared a second to miss Lotus Pier and his own bed. Home was his idea of heaven. But duty sent him wading through hell first. Just like always.
