“With respect, Patriarch,” the town’s mayor sneered, “They were the design of that smiling degenerate at Jinlintai. I am surprised a Gusu cultivator would dare endorse them.”
“They could have summoned help for you, for Sect Leader Jiang so much faster.”
The mayor shrugged. “No help for it now, I’m afraid. How is the Sect Leader?”
Wei Wuxian snatched the man by his collars. “If he dies, so do you.”
