Kefka was smiling. "May I be frank with you, Figaro?"
Edgar smiled back, with practiced vacancy. "Of course - aren't you always?"
"I've never understood why His Imperial Majesty sees fit to ally with your little sandbox of a kingdom. Really, never have. If you had any toys he wanted, we could simply kick you over."
These fishing expeditions of his got less and less subtle. Edgar wondered how overt the threats would get before he could no longer pretend to be oblivious. Meanwhile he laughed, as if this were a joke. Kefka laughed too. A jovial sort, the murdering bastard.
