The Sloth looked critically at the piece of paper he was holding.  It purported to be copy for the next edition of the Marylebone Monthly Illustrated, but it made even less sense than the usual submissions.

Finally, he was inspired.  “Dr Watson,” he said.  “This appears to be Mrs Hudson’s laundry list.  As I thought you said your contribution was a poetic description of Regent’s Park in autumn, I believe that may be on its way with the dirty linen.”

The doctor grabbed the list and rushed downstairs, arriving just in time to exchange papers with a bemused laundry man.
