"It's always me, isn't it?" Eclair said with a little laugh as she rocked the infant in her arms. Everyone had learned that she was good with children and any time someone needed emergency childcare, her name somehow came up.
"You're lucky it's a quiet day."
Wide eyes stared up at her and Eclair couldn't help smiling.
"I can't believe your parents are transferring so far away," she continued after a moment. "I still remember your father's first day at work..."
He'd changed so much. But Eclair hadn't...
That was more than okay now.
Closing her eyes, Eclair softly sang.
