Jiang Cheng regarded the elegant scroll on his desk with raised eyebrows and a faint sneer. His once-shixiong, who was now no more than an unwelcome guest, fidgeted nervously with the black demon flute and tried to smile.
“Delivered in person! You can’t say it got lost this time, Jiang Cheng!”
“Sect Leader Jiang,” Jiang Cheng corrected blandly. “Or Sandu Shengshou. Either will do.”
Wei Wuxian winced, looking out the window.
Jiang Cheng grit his teeth. “You said leave it in the past. You cut me out of your life. Why pester me now? It’s nearly harvest.”
“Please come.”
