“I don’t believe we’ve met,” a deep rumble announced the end to Jiang Cheng’s solitude.
“Very likely,” he didn’t turn around, only kept folding his robes to set aside. “I’m not interested in meeting right now, either. Unless you want to swim, too.”
Jiang Cheng slipped into the water, kicking against a pillar to shoot out into the river’s middle.
When he surfaced for air, he turned to see a large figure standing beside his pile of folded robes. The giant shed his own robes and leapt in.
When he reached Jiang Cheng, he smiled. “My name is Nie Mingjue.”
