"What's all this about," Davy asked, watching as Mike and Micky hauled a good-sized turkey into the icebox. "I thought you lot celebrated Thanksgiving in late November. It's only the fourth."
"Well," Micky responded, shoving the icebox door shut, "it's like this. We have two enemies this time of year: Time and money. If you don't buy the groceries as early as you can, then what you need might not be there a few days later."
"And what is in the stores might be more expensive," Peter added. "You can practically chart it."
"Snag it, and be grateful," Mike concluded.
