Sebastian looked around the crowded van. “I’m a criminal now. I’m a thief.”
Korina laughed. “And how does it feel?”
He looked down at his hands. “I feel different.”
“Do you feel like a criminal?” She glanced at him, settling deeper into her corner.
He thought for a moment. “I don’t know what I feel like. But I feel like a new man.”
“I don’t know. I think you’re probably the same weird little nerd,” Korina replied and the others didn’t bother to stifle their laughs. But Sebastian smiled, turning his hands over in the dim light of the van.
