Daria fell back, hands locking around her throat, cutting off her terrified cry.
All she'd done was to wish for a duplicate of herself. Sort of an artificial twin, to play pranks on her friends with, or to handle tedious responsibilities. To help her be in two places at once.
It seemed that Daria's double, however, had other plans. Hate flashed in the double's eyes as she knelt over her original.
"Be careful what you wish for," she intoned, cruelly squeezing away Daria's life. "It just might want everything that you have, and be willing to take it all away."
