Patterson stopped surprised when she found Jane alone in the dark lab.
„Hey, you okay?“
„Don't know.“
Usually, Jane pretended to be strong, but this time she sounded strangely lost.
„Hard day?“
Silence for a while; Patterson was sure that she wouldn't get an answer. But finally, Jane looked up.
„I can talk Chinese and Russian; I can fight better than every special force agent. The more I find out, the more I'm scared of myself.“
„No need to.“
Fleetingly Patterson touched Jane's arm.
„I'm sure, there is a good reason for all this.“
