It was the middle of the night but Jeff supposed it couldn't really wait. If they'd known earlier that the chemistry experiment was going to turn out like this, they'd never have left it in the cupboard overnight. Now they had to sort out their mess while the teachers were still asleep, before anyone could find out and punish them. Or get eaten by the monster they'd created.
Maxwell loaded another bottle rocket into the launcher he'd just invented. Jeff charged up his lightning gun. Tony was armed only with a metre stick and a wild look in his eye.
