Eirika looked out at the falling snow and dark clouds that had obscured the bright full moon that would have otherwise lit Ephraim's march home. She knew the snow wouldn't delay him; she knew he'd be home to her.
She hoped it would be soon. A roaring fire was waiting, and a warm bed, and her-
She was waiting for him, as hot as the fire, ready to warm her dear twin in anyway needed.
The snow kept falling as she watched the road. Soon there would be riders; soon Ephraim would come.
And she would greet him, blazing hot.
