Notes: Angst / Grief
Adele sings a song about words that were never true and that's some shit that can be related to on a visceral level.
When I was a kid, people would say 'that's just how it is' and 'family comes first' and 'you'll understand when you're older' but it was always bullshit.
I don't want to be here telling the same stories over and over but here I am, weaving words into bandages to cover wounds made by people who said one thing but meant the reverse.
The worst of it all being all the times they said 'I love you'.
