Holmes remains inclined to ignore what he is eating, although nowadays he will at least sit down and join me in a meal.  But when it comes to trying his honey, he will savour each mouthful, lingering in appreciation of every single taste.  He has become quite a connoisseur and knows the instant he starts a new batch which flowers his bees have particularly favoured that season.

My taste buds are not so well-attuned.  I enjoy his honey and can honestly assure him it is the best I have ever eaten, but, unlike him, I cannot tell the seasons apart.

Yes, I can definitely see Holmes writing a monograph on the flavours of different honeys with changes in weather, soil, etc factors in consideration.
