Notes: Mentions of PTSD and nightmares. First time posting here hope i got it right
He thinks sometimes it's not right the way he uses the feel of her soft white fur to ground himself.
Some nights it's the only thing that keeps him from falling into the abyss. The green of Alpine's eyes and the perfect shining white of her coat guarantee his return from hell.
Bucky keeps his touch light when she wakes him from a nightmare, the gentleness of his touch settling him firmly in here and now, her need for a careful pet.
Solid proof he is not there anymore. HYDRA never kept anything as beautiful as her anywhere near him.
