Spending an afternoon on a Lotus Pier dock, eating a picnic made by Jiang Cheng himself, had done much to restore his spirits.
Jiang Cheng carded his fingers through Nie Mingjue’s hair, humming absently as he kicked his feet lazily in the river.
His muscles bunching and releasing beneath Nie Mingjue’s head was not at all distracting, nope.
“Ready to tell me why you were so mad when you arrived?” Jiang Cheng grinned, petting Nie Mingjue’s cheek.
He startled, blinking up at his fellow Sect Leader. "I don’t even remember.”
