“What’s up with Lucas?” Ros asked one morning.

“Nothing, as far as I’m aware,” Adam replied.  “Why?”

“His desk is very tidy, and it all looks highly organised.  Yet he’s in the middle of something and normally he has pieces of paper and post-it notes all over the place.”

“Maybe he’s trying to create a good impression on Harry.”

“Is that really likely?  Anyway, you’ve seen Harry’s desk when he’s mid-case; he’s not going to complain about Lucas’.”

“We’ll ask him.”

Lucas nodded.  “I’m trying to get into Radetski’s mind, so thought I’d recreate the way I imagined he’d work.”
