From the moment I first saw him, I could feel it. I could feel that my life, and his, would never be the same again. It was tangible; I'm amazed that nobody else could sense it.

Now that he was around, there was a target on my back. This guy was it. My destiny. The soon-to-be perpetual thorn in my side.

I hated it. I hated that knowledge. But everybody needs a nemesis. And they're a damn sight better off if they know who that nemesis is going to be.

And mine had just walked in the door.
