The nickname used to irritate Buffy. It used to flush her with fury, but now the way he speaks it so softly and charmingly flushes her with an altogether different heat. She was raised to take no nonsense off of any man. She was raised to know her worth, and being the Slayer, not to mention the longest living Slayer, has added to that value.
But she is Spike's, she thinks as he nibbles her neck and whispers sweet words into her ear. She is Spike's, and she is glad to be so. Melting, she kisses him.
