Once upon a time, there was a princess in a tower. And knights would come from all the territories near and far, to try to rescue her. Some had made oaths to their lords, while others had made no obligation but to a sense of adventure.
And so they came. And so they failed. For they did not understand that the princess was in the tower by her own design.
Their bodies littered the ground at the tower's base. And the princess lived off of the weapons and wealth that they'd brought along.
Not all princesses wish to be saved.
