Laurelle stands calf-deep in the swamp, muttering under her breath. Beneath her outstretched hands, three skulls glow.

She makes her magic juggle them about. Weaves a curse around each one. Doesn't care whether the curses are deserved or not.

Each of the skulls belongs to someone she once knew. Someone who wronged her. Laurelle has done her research, knows that those whose minds once lived in these skulls still have living relatives.

Who cares whether or not those relatives are innocent? Revenge knows no limits. Once, she suffered. Now, it's somebody else's turn.

The enchantment will have its way.
