“Joojoo, did you see me! I swimmed!”
“You did very good, A-Ling,” Jiang Cheng hugged the wet, squirming toddler close.
“Sect Leader, you have a guest.” His Second-in-Command offered a towel and bowed. “It’s him.”
“Wonderful.” Jiang Cheng glared in the direction of his audience chamber. “And we can’t drown him in the lakes?”
His Second shook his head. “Only if you want to poison the fish, Sect Leader, apologies. He’s so drunk I’m surprised the lanterns aren’t igniting his clothes.”
“Wonderful. Piece of cake.”
“Cake!” Jin Ling clapped his hands. “Please, Joo?”
“Why not? Cake for everyone.”
