“This has been unsatisfactory all round,” Ros said. 

They had returned to her apartment at the end of a very frustrating day.  Even the werewolf looked miserable, he had been searching through a stagnant pond without success.  Adam was in the process of running a bath to get him cleaned.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if Harry didn’t throw in the towel over this,” Tariq said.

At that moment Adam called the werewolf for his bath.  Thirty seconds later there was a yell of “What did you do that for?”

“What’s he done?”

“Thrown the towel into the bath water.”

“Oops!”

Exactly - and given how much the werewolf dislikes the bath...
