This hadn’t been the plan. They were supposed to escape together.
A fantasy.
Jiang Cheng saw soldiers advancing on Wei Wuxian in the market as he bought medicine for their sister. He was about to witness his brother’s capture and murder.
That couldn’t happen. Wei Wuxian was the smart one, the brave one.
Jiang Cheng was just Jiang Cheng, a boy who loved his brother and sister, but nothing special. Their Sect and their sister would be better off with Wei Wuxian.
He ran in the opposite direction and punched the first Wen soldier he saw right in the face.
