"I did not know you could draw."
Sherlock says this idly, throwing the words out into the air to hang. He does not seem to think much of them, happy to turn back to his experiment of the day, not even looking at John.
"How do you know it now?" John asks, thinking of notebooks filled to the edges of their rough pages with sketches of Sherlock's body in repose, illustrated with skills born of long anatomy lessons.
"You drew a sketch for Lestrade," Sherlock says, pouring the memory back into John's head.
Somehow, that's not the answer John wants.
