Jiang Cheng slowly, carefully closed the door behind him. It latched with the faintest click. Sighing in relief at his success, he offered a silent apology and farewell to all the people still sleeping inside the huge house.

Then he turned away, dashing down the front walk and hopping into the car that waited, headlights off, engine idling.

“Jiang-xiong, you did it!” Nie Huaisang gave him a high-five and a huge smile. “Next stop, the beach!”

“Drive, Huaisang!” Jiang Cheng’s cheeks ached, he was smiling so much.

His best friend laughed as they drove away, shouting, “We’re free!”
