No answer; she only stretched out her hand, looking for hold at the post of the stairs. He noticed her pale face and cursed inwardly. „Hey, are you okay?“
„Zeke!“ Almost inaudible, but the sound of her voice made him wince. No, this couldn't be!
A shy smile turned up on the woman's face when she whispered: “You are so grown up.“
He huffed, and shock turned into anger. „It's almost ten years, mom, ten years. Where the fuck have you been?“
